The Hotel Monteleone prides itself on ways that it’s improved its operations in an effort to “go green” and reduce its footprint on the environment. In support of other green initiatives, the Hotel Monteleone is hosting Ecologist Penny Edwards as she unveils her Ecological Quilt entitled, “Beyond the Horizon,” in the lobby. The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, a nonprofit, marine wildlife conservation organization, will have volunteers who will be working in the Gulf of Mexico present at the unveiling.
