The Hotel Monteleone, in all of its grandeur, has played host to some of the most notable Louisiana governors over the years. As we honor the moments and people that make up the Hotel’s colorful history during our 125th anniversary celebration, we’re taking an in-depth look at these politicians – including Edwin Edwards, Huey Long and Earl Long – during our third Legacy Luncheon and discussing the impact they’ve made on the city of New Orleans and the state of Louisiana. Panelists for the Luncheon include:
•Rosemary James, Former Newspaper Columnist and TV Political Reporter • Lanny Keller, Chief Editorial Writer for Baton Rouge Advocate • Professor Alecia Long, LSU Professor and Authority on LA History and Politics • Barry Erwin, Head of Council for a Better LA and Capital Correspondent • Moon Landrieu—former Mayor of New Orleans and United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development |
