February 14, 2009 (*aka Valentine's Day*) the Mystic Krewe of
Shangri-La will stroll through the French Quarter, intoxicating locals and
visitors alike with the love of Mardi Gras.

will lunch, stroll and revel in a post march bash*. The day begins with
lunch at the Astor Crowne-Plaza (*where the Queen Cindi Mistrot and her
duchesses and their court will be presented*). After lunch the Krewe will
stroll through the French Quarter imparting their love of Mardi Gras (*with
a few libation stops planned along the route*). This year's Grand Marshals
are community activists; Gerri and Murray Valene. The revelry will continue
post stroll with food, drink and music from the popular strains of the Nobles

The acclaimed marching band from Warren Easton will be leading the Krewe and
local celebrity, Angela Hill will be participating in the festivities. There
is also a substantiated rumor floating about that a marriage will take place
during the celebration
