Hotel Monteleone and John Robert Powers to Host
Peggy Post Etiquette Luncheon Proceeds to benefit LA Children’s Museum New Orleans, La (October 28, 2009) – If the thought of holiday dinners and your children’s manners have you a bit anxious, put your worries aside. Hotel Monteleone will present an Etiquette Workshop for children ages 6-12 on Saturday, November 7, from 11:30AM to 1:00 PM at the Hotel Monteleone. Sponsored by John Robert Powers Acting & Modeling School System, the event will benefit the Louisiana Children’s Museum. Guest speaker Peggy Post is well positioned to provide etiquette tips. The great-granddaughter-in-law of manner maven and author Emily Post, Peggy Post has authored ten books for children and adults, including Emily Post’s The Guide to Good Manners for Kids and Table Manners for Kids. These are just two of the titles which will be available for purchase. Admission is $40 for children and $35 for adults. Space is limited and reservations are required. According to Peggy Post, “Good manners never go out of style. Since 1922, the name Emily Post has been synonymous with good manners based on honesty, respect and consideration. Now children of the 21st century will have the opportunity to practice good manners.” Andrea Thornton, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hotel Monteleone, says, “We want to give children the chance to practice with food they are likely to have during the holidays such as gumbo. The luncheon is an opportunity for children to enjoy a social setting and learn by doing in an entertaining way.” Please visit www.hotelmonteleone.com to find out more information on these events or to make reservations. |
