French Quarter protest, marches, & marathons: October 25, 26, & 27, 2018
A Take Em Down NOLA Rally and March is scheduled for Thursday, October 25th from 6-8pm. The march will meet at Lafayette Square and march to Jackson Square. The group does not have a permitted route; however this march has previously marched from Lafayette Square, to the Supreme Court, Jackson Square, to the Bienville statue at the Conti triangle. Asphyxiated: Exposing Gordon Plaza – A Political Theatre Action is scheduled for Friday, October 26th from 6-7pm in Jackson Square. NOPD is aware of this unpermitted protest and will have a heightened presence. Click here for more information.
The Jazz Half Marathon & 5K is scheduled for Saturday, October 27th. Rampart Street will be affected from 4am-8am. Click here for the route and street closures.
Stop the Attack on Trans People Rally and March is scheduled for Saturday, October 27th from 1-3pm. The group does not have a permitted route; however they will meet in Lafayette Square and will most likely march towards/in the French Quarter.
