Due to the French Quarter Festival’s crowd size, vehicular traffic will be restricted from Thursday, April 6th until Sunday, April 9th, beginning at 12:00pm until 9:00pm. No on-street parking or vehicular traffic into the French Quarter will be allowed between Iberville, North Rampart, Dumaine, and Decatur streets, except those vehicles issued permits. While the streets are closed to vehicular traffic, for-hire vehicles (taxis, limos, shuttle busses, pedicabs, carriages, etc.) will be allowed access into the closed area as long as it is safe to do so. French Quarter residents, employees, and hotel guests will be allowed access as well, as long as it is safe to do so.
All vehicular traffic will be blocked for on-street stages located at 1000 Royal, 700 Royal, 400 Royal, 600 Bourbon, and 700 Bourbon.
Access passes to be allowed past the checkpoints will be available on Saturday, April 1st at the Eighth District Station (334 Royal Street) for residents, business owners, employees and hotel guests.
