French Quarter Filming with Road Closures: Friday, November 15 – Saturday, November 16, 2019

There will be filming of scenes for the Fox Television show “Filthy Rich” in the French Quarter on Friday, November 15, 2019. They will be filming daytime scenes on Royal St. and St. Peter and scenes of a Mardi Gras Parade during the evening. There are no plans for pyrotechnics, gunfire or car crashes.

If you have any specific parking concerns, loud construction work, or large deliveries scheduled during filming activities, please let them know in advance so they can accommodate your needs.

Parking will be affected on the following streets from 6:00AM on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 until 6:00PM on Saturday, November 16, 2019:

  • 600 & Lower ½ 700 Blocks of Royal St. (From Orleans to Toulouse)  –  Clear for Prep, Picture & Wrap
  • 600 Block of St. Peter St. (From Chartres to Royal)  –  Clear for Prep, Picture & Wrap

Parking will also be affected on the following streets from 6:00AM on Friday, November 15, 2019 until 6:00AM on Saturday, November 16, 2019:

  • 600 & 700 Blocks of Toulouse St. (From Bourbon to Chartres)  –  Clear for Work Trucks
  • Lower ½ 600 Block of Decatur (Lake Side, From Wilkinson to Toulouse)  –  Clear for Camera Truck

There will be ITC (Intermittent Traffic Control) from 12PM – 4P on Fri, Nov. 15, 2019 at the following intersection:

  • St. Peter St. @ Chartres

There will be a Full Street Closure from 1PM until 4P on Friday, November 15, 2019 on the following blocks:

  • 600 Block of Royal (Coinciding with already existing Pedestrian Mall Closure)

There will also be Full Street Closures from 6PM on Friday, November 15th, 2019 until 5AM on Saturday, Nov. 16th on the following blocks:

  • 600 Block & Lower ½ 700 Block of Royal from 6P-5A
  • 600 Block of St. Peter from 6P – 5A (Thru traffic will be diverted at Toulouse and Chartres)

They will be staging a Mardi Gras parade in two segments:

  • Friday, November 15th, 2019 from 12P-4PM on Royal at St. Peter (within the pedestrian mall closure)
  • Friday, November 15th, 2019 from 6P-5A at Royal and Orleans and Chartres and Toulouse.

The scene will include 4 small floats, flambeau carriers, one band, police, 250 extras and 100 crew members. 

To alleviate traffic congestion, thru traffic will be diverted at 600 Chartres @ Toulouse, as necessary per their officers. Business owners, residents and patrons will still be allowed access.
