French Quarter Road Closures: Friday, November 24, 2017 – Saturday, November 25, 2017

Canal Street and Poydras Street will be monitored by N.O.P.D. assigned to traffic control on both Friday, November 24th and Saturday, November 25th. If/when the pedestrian traffic gets too congested they will close access to either or both.

A Bourbon Street hard closure will go into effect from 8pm – 4am on Friday, November 24th and Saturday, November 25th. There will be no parking on or vehicular crossing of Bourbon Street from Canal Street to St. Ann Street. Also, towing will be heavily enforced this evening.

The Bayou Classic Parade rolls at 9:30am on Saturday, November 25th from the French Market. There will be rolling road closures. The route is:

  1. Starts Decatur at Elysian Fields
  2. Travels against traffic on North Peters to the Decatur merge (at the Joan of Arc Statue)
  3. Decatur to Canal
  4. Canal to St. Charles
  5. St. Charles to Poydras
  6. Poydras to Loyola
  7. Loyola to Perdido where they will disband near Duncan Plaza.

NOTE: N.O.P.D. has the ability to make real time decisions on road closures for crowd control/safety reasons.
