French Quarter Road Closures – May, 29-31, 2019

On Wednesday, May, 29, 2019, at 8 a.m., the City of New Orleans, Department of Public Works’ construction contractor, Hard Rock Construction, LLC, will temporarily close St. Louis Street between Bourbon and Royal streets to vehicular traffic to allow crews to replace two concrete panels.

The intersections of Royal and St. Louis streets, as well as Bourbon and St. Louis streets, will be open to vehicular traffic during this closure. Work is anticipated to take three days to complete, weather permitting.

Bourbon Street between Orleans and St. Ann streets is also currently closed while crews fully reconstruct the roadway with repaired and/or new water, sewer and drainage lines. Residents and businesses owners should expect intermittent travel lane closures on Bourbon Street between St. Ann and Dumaine streets for Entergy Gas and Entergy Electric work.
